Crafty goodies

Here are some of the things I made for the PTO at the elementary school.
Invites for the Luau. Do the Hula (retired Stampin Up) set, Paper: SU very vanilla CS, Ink: Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze, Linen thread: from Michaels, DSP: Leftovers from Lisa & Ethan's wedding in 2004 HOTP, I think. I guess it pays to hold onto those scraps!

"Thank you" basketball team photos. All the sponsors got a framed photo of the team they sponsored. Font: from Open Office, Bulldog image: from the elementary school's website, striped ribbon: from Hobby Lobby, Star Brads: Bazzill, CS: SU Pacific Point, Whisper White, and Pumpkin Pie.

5"x 5" card for the various sponsors we've had throughout the year. CS: kraft CS from Michaels, SU Pacific Point, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Bulldog image: from elementary school website, striped ribbon: from Hobby Lobby, Star Brad: Bazzill.

Buckets I made for the teacher's clothespins. it's a loooong story....Bucket: from Home Depot, Die Cut Vinyl Letters and paw prints: from a home-based die cut vinyl business (sorry can't remember the name!), White and Orange eyelash yarn: YarnBee from Hobby Lobby, Striped Orange ribbon and paw print ribbon: Hobby Lobby.

End of the year party favors I made for A's class. SU Stamp Set (the name escapes me at the moment. I'm a baaad demo...), Ink: SU Whisper White in CraftDSP: Me and My Big Ideas, Cello Bag & twist tie: Michaels, extra large chocolate chunk cookie: Costco.

The new In-Colors make me giddy

I waited until Mr. Keiser was safely on a plane to Harlingen when I decided to open my Stampin Up box. I was so giddy when I opened the new catalog; it is the same size of the old catalog but formatted differently to include more products and tips. I am looking forward to the new mini-catties for the 2009-2010 SU season.

The new In-Colors for 2009-2010 are: soft suede, dusty durango, crushed curry, melon mambo, rich razzleberry, and bermuda bay.

New SU catty is here!

I just posted a small lot of SU and other rubber stamps on Craigslist earlier this week. As much as I didn't want to part with any of them, I knew I had to in order to make room for the new stuff! I have a whole other pile of sets to go through, my "flip flop" pile. I call it my "flip flop" pile because I am not sure whether or not I am ready to part with these sets. I think I want to get rid of them, but I'll see a set on SCS and mentally vow to make use of them. Sad sad sad...

I am so glad SU decided to go back to a one year catty instead of a six month catty. As my upline and friend D.J. pointed out, going back to a one year catty will let us fully enjoy it unlike the six month catty which gave you just a glimmer then- bam! It was gone.

I was torn between ordering a bunch of stuff on the Last Chance Lists, but after seeing the new catty, I have changed my mind. I have been tabbing and making wish lists for the new sets and accessories. I've also been thinking of starting up my summer card camp classes using the new in-colors and new sets. Exciting! I'll have to post photos of the new colors and sets I got yesterday. I waited until Grant was out of town to open my new shipment. I fully intend to mount and make new cards tonight!

It's here!

I waited until 1:00 am CST for Stampin Up's home office to post the new "Last Chance Items" list and I was not disappointed. SU is getting rid of all the In Colors for the 2008-2009 year- ink pads, ink refills, all CS, any DSP or ribbons that feature the In Colors, etc. They are also closing out a lot of accessories, all the hostess awards, and a bunch of stamp sets.

I'll have to go through my "to buy list" and see if any of the retiring items are on it. If you want anything that is retiring, you have to order it within the first week or so because it will be gone forever...or will be on ebay for twice the price!
